Alliance for Gun Responsibility Responds to Series of Shootings in Seattle

SEATTLE, WA – The Alliance for Gun Responsibility issued the following statement in response to a series of recent acts of gun violence across the Seattle area including three shootings in the last 24 hours, which left one dead and at least four wounded. Ten people have been shot in the Seattle area since last Sunday, which is more than five times as many as an average week.

“We are grieving for all the victims of these recent senseless acts of gun violence across our region,” said Renee Hopkins, CEO of the Alliance for Gun Responsibility. “These tragedies are devastating reminders of the everyday gun violence that often goes unnoticed but that shatters communities across our state far too regularly. We will not forget these victims. We  will continue to work toward ending gun violence in all its forms in Washington state.”
